What is complex care?
Complex care is specialist support for people whose health needs require a higher level of planning, skill and consistency. It may involve help with daily living, personal care, medication routines, mobility, nutrition, rehabilitation, breathing support and specialist equipment at home.
But complex care is not only clinical. It is about understanding the person behind the condition — their routine, their comfort, their independence and their version of a good day. That is where meaningful care begins.
Some people need support for a few weeks after leaving hospital. Others need long-term help every day. Whatever the situation, our role is to make care feel safer, calmer and more manageable.

How we can help at home
How our care process works
We listen first
We begin with a conversation to understand what has happened and what the family needs.
We assess person's needs
We look at care requirements, risks, routines, preferences, equipment and the home environment.
We create a personalised care plan
Built around the person's condition, daily life and goals — a plan that works in the home.
We match the right care team
Carers with the right skills and approach for the individual's specific needs.
Care begins at home
Support starts with clear guidance, open communication and practical reassurance.
We review and adapt
As needs change, the care plan changes too. Complex care is rarely static.
Frequently asked questions
What is complex care at home?
Complex care at home is specialist support for people with higher-level health or daily care needs — including neurological care, respiratory support, PEG feeding, tracheostomy support and live-in or 24-hour home care.
Is complex care only for older people?
No. Complex care can support adults of different ages, depending on their condition, injury, disability or long-term health needs.
What is the difference between live-in care and 24-hour home care?
Live-in care means a carer lives in the home and provides support throughout the day. 24-hour care is more suitable when someone needs continuous support, waking night cover or a team-based package.
Do you provide care after hospital discharge?
Yes. We help families plan care after discharge — including personal care, equipment, mobility support and daily living needs — so the person can stay home safely.
Can you support someone with a homecare hospital bed?
Yes. Care can be planned around specialist equipment, including a homecare hospital bed, moving and handling needs, pressure care and safe positioning.
